I was being sarcastic because I thought you were joking

In a grind-heavy, time-consuming game like this, wiping everything will be guaranteed to piss off and kill the rest of Closer's playerbase. New players who come in won't have much motivation either because what if Naddic does another wipe? They did it before, what's stopping them from doing it again?

And shutting the game down for half a year and relaunching would just reek of failure with a risk that's not even worth the reward. Naddic will lose money because their only income is gone and with the high production value and budget this game has, they pretty much have to deliver and meet expectations. The game only needs minor tweaks to be good (aka fix the goddam xp tables naddic), not a complete overhaul.

I'd like to know other games that did this and succeeded.

The EXP tables are already much more bearable. You finish Area 3 a whole 2 levels later with the new experience, and if you did EDMs every time, it's likely you'll even end up at 40. So the grind there is gone.

And with how Plane Gate's quests work (as well as how it's 2 run limit a day, damn you naddic) the grind from 50 to 53 feels almost non-existant, since I'm still doing actual quests.

The only grinds I can see that are still around are one small grind between 42 and 43 and then the infamous 45~47 gap. Epilogue can get you 49 and then it's just one more level to plane gate, which is likely to cap you. And even if it doesn't 52 is the final level of the legendary equips so you don't really -need- 53.

It's not perfect yet, the 42~43 gap is especially bad because it's in THE MIDDLE of a bunch of story quests, but it's already much better than before.

i basically start leveling my chars up to lv 48 half way to 49 then give up and move on to next char -same thing happen-

The 42-43 gap wasn't even there when the OA advancement made us run the stage 40 times.

.....But of course, the fact that it's now down to 10 runs should tell you how well received that was.

What this guy said. A wipe at this point is basically saying "we're going to kill this game now" and I don't get why people would even want a wipe, or how a wipe would save this game.

From what I'm seeing, they basically just have to pump out content at a faster rate. Considering the fact that this game is primarily PvE, Naddic should have had more than 4 arcs ready, or even some event missions. I'm guessing they underestimated how fast people would blow through the content.

Barring new areas, they should have had at least a lot of good side-content ready if they want people to continue playing their game. And this time, make them not frustrating at all, like the after-G Tower epilogue.

I'm not going to defend the suggestion, because unlike most things I say, it was just from the top of my head because I played two Korean MMOs that were decently successful from starting all over again.

I'll get the names for you when I'm not doing 3 assignments.
