General Equipment and Enchanting
#1
This guide will help players decide on a play style and how to better gear themselves.

Index:
[I] Cores (Weapons)
[II] Modules (Weapon Attachments)
[III] Shields (Armor)
[IV] Rarity and Quality
[V] Enchanting
[VI] Gear Tuning

1. Cores
2. Modules
3. Shields

Characters begin with a Core, Module and three Shield slots. You gain more Module and Shield slots as you progress and complete certain quests. These quests are given by the Weapon/Auction House NPCs in Area 1 and Area 2. The NPC in Area 1 will award you 1 Module and 2 Shields; an additional Module and Shield in Area 2. In the end the max amount of slots available will be three Modules and six Shields.

[I] Cores

O = Positive, - = Neutral, X = Negative

There are huge variety of Cores in Closers and this will continue to expand as there are certain Core Types listed in the auction house that are not yet implemented in the game. The weapons that aren't implemented will have Unknown stats in the chart. The core you choose will heavily impact your play style; an example of which is while playing Seha, certain aerial combos will cause enemies to drop before he can connect because of a slow attack speed core. You can also do fun stuff that normally isn't available with other weapons. With Blitz's Advance Combo and a Dual Blade core, I can dodge after launching enemies with blitz and catch them with normal attacks before they touch the ground.

[II] Modules

There are three types of modules in Closers: Boosters, Regulators and Tubes. The bonuses are listed in the chart.
The bonuses each of these modules provide are flat and may have a chance of also boosting the overall stat by a % (Example: Physical Damage +2%)

[III] Shields
[Image: KaI1X1R.png]

There are three types of shields in Closers: Rings, Amulets, Mascots and Books. The bonuses are listed in the chart.
The bonuses each of these modules provide are flat and also may have a chance of also boosting the overall stat by a % (Example: Physical Defense +2%) or additional goodies. Books are an unreleased shield.

[IV] Rarity and Quality
[Image: cff8802586.png]

Rarity is self explanatory.
Quality affects the base stats of your equipment. Sometimes a rare weapon will have better stats than an equivalent level elite weapon just because of quality.

[V] Enchanting

To begin enchanting, find the following NPC located in each of the Areas you visit.

After which press the first option to begin Enchanting (Hotkey A)

The following window will open..

1. The item to enchant. All equipment can be enchanted.
2. Required fuel to enchant, each will have a varying effect, more details later.
3. Option Additives with varying effects, examples include initialization, contamination, destruction protection and more.
4. Penalties. These will vary depending on the fuel you're trying to use. Using low grade fuel to try and enchant a high grade enchanted weapon will result in heavier penalties such as initialization or destruction. Initialization is the complete reset to +0 on an item. Contamination makes a weapon unusable; to decontaminate an item you need to purchase a Deoxidizer for 4,900 NX from the Item Mall. Destruction will break your weapon into its raw materials. Use the correct fuel and you'll have a relatively safe run with enchanting.
5. Credit cost. Self Explanatory and a major whirlpool for credits.

Quality is what determines how good your base stats are.

Low Quality Elite weapons can be worse than Rares. But High Quality ones are awesome.

Was thinking about the percentages and what not. I've noticed that certain higher quality weapons do pertain to higher base stats. However I'll just update the guide with that for now.

Also I actually don't know where to look at the equipment window to determine the current quality.

It's the top right.

This one has "Greater Quality" for example.

I think the color coding is

Purple
Blue
Green
Orange
Grey

I was using the auction house to determine things. What I mean by that is that there's a quality settings in the search options for the auction house and every single option was always giving a gray quality, so it may not be working as intended idk. Though the quality system shares the same color scheme as rarity's color scheme.

One extra trick. I think it will be patched though, but its still fun.

Let's say skill 'X' requires skill level 3 to unlock a slot for its skill extension note.
Your current skill level for 'X' is 2.
If you happen to get a socket which ups that skill level of yours, the skill note will be usable on that skill

Extra note: Gold > Purple.

Though I don't think there are any Gold-tier weapons at the moment though. Costume only for now. May have some gold in-bound some where in the future.

Gold
Purple
Blue
Green
Orange
Grey
