I can almost guarantee CloserS Eng will be published by Nexon NA

If you're wondering what I'm refering to, just check the front page.

If you're doubting me, just apply a little common sense.

Why would Naddic prepare english & japanese files for CloserS when they haven't even announced a publisher for those two versions of the game?

Because, like many developers with a plan, they've clearly already done an international contract with Nexon, it also makes sense seeing as, as far as I remember, Nexon NA & JP, along with SEA are some of the bigger Nexon subdivisions? (Excluding Korea, of course)

Naddic has also been very obvious with the fact that they plan way in advance, we even get told coming content 3 months in advance.

I'm not saying it's definite, but it's the most likely solution to me. My only issue with this, is Nexon NA have been known to implement IP blocks, although I don't think they've done so in over 2 years now.

And at this point, I probably wouldn't care because I'll probably be staying in KR anyway.

OK, maybe I would care a little because it'll make the friends I have who spent $10 for a Nexon account regret their purchase, lose all will to play KR, wait for the NA version, and maybe blame me for it.

If NA doesn't gimp any of the systems and removes stamina, I'll move there.

Well nothing is definite, I mean we are not even sure if they are planning on releasing it on NA. A few translated files on the client doesn't mean anything (just like how they have that english site for almost two years before they even release the game) then again there is that case of PSO2 having a very long hiatus on the NA release (PSO2 SEA already got released with full english translation)

then again, even if NA is released, nothing beats playing on the home server, faster updates and more freebies. If only someone can swap Korean script with the english ones.

To be perfectly honest, this sounds like a best case scenario to me.

Nexon NA gets lots of flak, mainly because of their past GMS shenanegans and DFO. (Which I'm pretty sure cannot be entirely blamed on them. I'll reserve my final judgement on that one until after we see how Neople's attempt at hosting the game goes.) But as someone who's played Vindictus up until the SAO collaboration event led to me quitting, (I refuse to party with Lanns wearing the Kirito cash shop outfit. I mean..... seriously?!) I cannot say I've had any major issues with them. There was the one time I got autobanned for doing a Season 2 raid boss, but they unbanned me within a week.

And even "dying" Mabinogi is kept well up to date with the korean version. And they even bothered to get that Miku Hatsune collaboration event the japanese version got.

As long as CloserS manages to make them more money than Mabinogi, I'm positive it would get better treatment under Nexon NA than it would under any other NA kMMO publisher. (Which says more about everyone else than it does Nexon NA.....)

And I'll just say it: We WILL see hacking outbreaks in NA no matter who gets it due to KR games having less hackers due to the difficulty of obtaining a Nexon KR account (That we should all be aware of.) compared to making a new Yahoo e-mail address in 2 minutes and using that to make a new Nexon NA account.

Hacking outbreaks are up there with my concerns such as milking the game even further than the korean version is milked. (I love CloserS, but nobody can deny the milking that's taken place so far) I've been trying to come up with potential ways to prevent it, but with any game that you can simply sign up for, it's difficult.

Maybe mobile/cellphone verification, but people wouldn't react well to that...

Time to throw even more money at Nexon.

Though, I have been playing GMS for an extremely long time.
While I am happy that they don't mess up events or content, the security worries me greatly...

GMS is one of the most well handled NA localizations of a Korean MMO I've ever seen, if not the best. Their only real issue is the fact that they're almost a year behind the Korean server, excluding that, they do everything right, they even stopped making the game more p2w than Korea by changing all their content to ALMOST copy paste of Korea's.
