My Prediction for how Naddic will structure future updates
#1
Couldn't quite think of an appropriate title, but anyway.

Basically, Naddic seems to have a pretty organized way of doing things, they like to spread out a balance of different over a set amoun of time. Now obviously, half of this is speculation of how the game's been updated already, some is simple wild guesses from myself. Take it with a grain of salt, and everything is up for debate, obviously.

Basically I feel like each new update cycle will go something like this;

Start of new season

1. New Team with unique story
2. New season of updates begins, all currently existing teams incoporated into a single story for the next season
3. Dungeons released over time
4. Player-feedback/suggested content (Content such as cash shop revamp, new PVP, etc)
5. Non-story content (Content like NPC relationships, Guild housing)
6. End-game content/non-story combat based content (Plane gate, summary areas, etc)

End of season (My guess is each season will probably span about 2-3 years, in other words my guess is we'll get a new team and increased level cap ever 2-3 years)

This probably doesn't make a lot of sense, so I'll put it into an example

Black Lambs and all content up to our current level cap is Season 1, Black Lambs & Wolfdog will have a seperate story for all of season 1 (level 1-58) but then from Season 2 (level 59 onwards) their story will be entwined, joined together.

Now when/if we get a season 3, the next team added in season 3 will have a unique story for both season 1 AND season 2, but then season 3 they will be incoprorated into the Black Lamb/Wolfdog storyline.

Does this make sense? Hoping it does, it's just something I thought up considering Naddic seems to try and keep a bit of consistency.

I would say the game itself isn't complete yet,fun-wise,can't talk about more seasons till player are satisfied with a season's contents, for example in elsword, people can do 1vs1 all day everyday, chat in sparring, grind SD/henir to sell gear for money to buy SOMETHING SPECIAL (IBs).
While closers don't really have any of that yet,you can't sell gears, all you can do is make gears for yourself, then what's the big deal after you finish? nothing, you can't use your gears into anything BUT what you ALREADY achieved,so we still lack something that would be fun & no matter how repetitive it is,should still be fun.

I do believe they are going to make something like circle training area but, that's not enough, elsword's sparring system is only good due to it being limitless on the people you can meet (regardless of their level or guild or map they are in,although its low quality & crap) easy social interactions might help a lot to keep the game alive.

And yeah...we need something competitive :l AoS is crap, rewardless & time taking..

Then maybe after we get all those necessary things, they will get revamps every season :o?
Cuz what closers offers now, isn't really that good, with a 2~3years revamp gap, while elsword revamps every year almost now (level cap+town+henir+SD+character)

Im still waiting on a 1v1 competitive drop-in-drop-out type game mode that Elsword has, if CloserS can get that and an open sparring system then the end-game will pickup. Guild housing needs to be more...housing-esque, we need to buy furniture and items, the game's biggest issue is it lacks any and all unnecessary customization in-game, the game's module system works great yeah, but it sets them up for failure, because all modules give is stats.

End-game needs to be about grinding for stuff that doesn't just contribute to moving further in the story. PVP rankings, costumes, awesome accessories, guild rewards/skills, raids with unique items, etc.

Yeah we got none of that.

OT: Well first of all, I think Wolfdog and Black Lambs already have intertwined stories.
I mean, Sihwan is there a lot, right? And we could even meet Nata. Like, maybe it isn't the exact same story, but it should be in similar places.

It may be possible that they're releasing a UNION and Vultures team every season (which would cool, because that's the WOLF and the DOG ahahaha-/shot), and it would make sense because Vultures are weapon dealers who deploy people who gather materials, and clean up afterwards. UNION members are the ones who ultimately use those weapons.

And second of all, that all I wanted to say. That schedule looks accurate enough, yeah. :v

Warning to new players:
CLOSERS is a game that adjusts several important details in almost every single patch.

This is probably Naddic's update schedule, given their history:

Summer updates: Release Nata and new area with the airport thing

Filler and pointless revamps until winter

December~January where Naddic releases Levia as their winter update

More filler and pointless revamps until June

This year's update schedule was just atrocious. If Closers wants to survive, Naddic needs to release more consistent updates instead of leaving droughts that last for months, especially in a game like this where the only content is PvE.

They're going to release Ruvia in the Summer. When they first announced Nata and Ruvia, they said all the content being announced would be added to the game in the "next 100 days".

Not to mention the intro video that plays when you start Nata's tutorial shows Nata and Ruvia (Although just a back shot. Only new thing we know is that her "horns" are hair ornaments. Kinda look like kunai.) but none of the other Wolfdogs.

But, uhh..... are we really going to criticize Closers for only updating in the Summer and Winter? (Although that's not exactly true. We've gotten smaller updates inbetween and even Plane Gate between the Winter launch window and Summer updates that just kicked off.) That's what practically every kMMO does. Maple Story and Mabinogi Heroes/Vindictus do exactly that and they're very successful. (And in MH/Vindi, most of the updaters are just raids you can only do once a day.)

@Yaoi you clearly haven't been paying attention.

Naddic spent their down time FIXING what we already have. We got multiple optimization patches and character renewels that actually made some visible changes on characters, they didn't just fill it with cash shop items like a lot of other developers. We also got the cash shop revamp, well part of it.

@Endgame 100 days huh? Does this mean we'll also get the NPC relationship system & Circle Skills by the end of Summer?

I dunno Yaoi, that's a LOT of content for the summer if this is the case, compare it to a game like Maplestory which is getting animation skeletons, some revamps that are basically just % changes and skill delay changes. Naddic definitely isn't being lazy, I'd be the first to critisize them for being so.

SO,wolfdogs works for union, which means;special agent are exclusive to wolfdogs(???)
Theres a high chance of OA/SA being the last rank,i cant imagine nata or revia on a uniform, and i cant imagine wolfdogs having a golden card while blacklambs have a blue one,decisions...

I'm pretty sure they're going to add new ranks eventually. Maybe not Area 5, but maybe Area 6.

Simply because they have to keep providing incentive for us to level up, but by Area 6, we should be maxing out our OA skills.

Also, they have to justify the existence of the second hotkey tab somehow.
