Naddic(K) optimized theirs game yay~
#1
The new patch log said Naddic(K) braved up and optimized Closers. SO I went ahead and do some benchmarks (dungeon only) on 3 different computers I can get my hand on. (site notes: loading time still a b**** to deal with)

Result 1: Min FPS 60; Max FPS 62
"Overkill' Build: (ok ok this is a workstation not meant to be game on, now stop the hates)
Intel Xeon E7 E7-8880 v3
3-way SLI GTX TITAN X
32G DDR4 2400 RAM
Intel 750D SSDs (no raid)
"SKRUBLORD" internet: 10mbps(this affect the loading time by a lot)

Result 2: Min FPS 54; MAX FPS 62
High-end user build:
AMD FX 8350
Single GTX 970
16G DDR3 1866 RAM
SAMSUNG 850 SSD
"SKRUBLORD" internet: 10mbps(this affect the loading time by a lot)

Result 3: Min FPS 40; MAX FPS 60
Normal graded PC
Intel i3-3240 (3rd gen super old stuff)
Single GTX 750
8G DDR3 1333 RAM
WD Blue HDD "SKRUBLORD" internet: 10mbps(this affect the loading time by a lot)

Conclusion time, i feel much better about this movement from Naddic(K), at least they fix the game before dropping those nuke size contents in summer. I am very hype at this point due to Naddic(K) gives some care about their game performance, which lead me to assume that something very amazing is coming soon. HYPE TRAIN IS UP, COMRADES PLS ABOARD.

p/s: all these result only be done in 1 benchmark, these PCs are well optimized and some massively overclocked* so if your benchmark turn out to be a different result, then don't ask me why (because i just explained)

massively overclocked*:do not try this if you don't have experience with overclocking your CPU or your GPU. It will void your warranty and might burn out your components. If you desire to do so, please consult forums and document on how to overclock your components before doing it. You have got my warning.

Update log: (comment below if there any bug,FPS drop, freezes. I will add them in here)
- Some cutscenes will have FPS drop. ex. ep.40 cutscene some people might experience FPS drop
- After playing 3 hours the base FPS drop to 57 FPS (this can be fix by relog)
- Some dungeons and skills might cause a dramatic FPS drop from 60>40 for the high end PCs and below 30 FPS for the normal PCs

Does this include towns though? Is this tested with or without forced Anti Aliasing?

I mean, this is BETTER, but it's not..."optimized". Like it's ok now, but for how the game looks it should be so much better. I'm sitting here playing The Witcher 3 with nVidia hairworks and extreme anti aliasing with a GTX 970 and I fluctuate between 40fps-60fps. I should not be getting the same framerate in CloserS as what I get in a AAA game.

I get that the two are chalk and cheese, but you know what I'm getting at.

All that negativity aside, good job Naddic for following up on your promise. It's improvement, so long as improvement continues, they're doing well/

Its true, not supposed to be like that but its still an improvement, its also the 2nd time they "optimize" something on closers,so might have to expect more optimization in the future? maybe, that would be nice.

oh forgot to add, this is dungeon benchmark without any Nvidia overdrive. HDR on, V-sync on

So is it still almost impossible to play this on a mid-range (GTX 750 Ti) PC? I enjoyed this game but had to stop due to the abysmal performance.

Before this update, I had serious FPS problems, and it took ages to enter a dungeon, now it's pretty smooth anywhere, yeah i still have some slight fps drops, but it's mostly my computer fault, My brother can run this game with just the integrated graphic card from his motherboard just fine( And better than my computer, it makes me slightly mad).

...what? I run the same exact Graphics Card and it's run perfectly at maximum settings (default on Nvidia Control Panel though) since the game launched...

On a side note, 2 month necro m8 :v

I haven't tried on my older computer for which 4-3 was basically a slideshow on, but even on my newer computer that plays the game fine on max settings and with AMD Catalyst forced anti-aliasing settings and even while recording videos, load times have gone down significantly since when I first got it.

What are your setting in-game and at on the Nvidia Control Panel?
